Her conception took place on the 29th of March, 1985 in Roswell located in the state of New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her birth name. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She has Mexican heritage, but is American in nationality. Since she was a child she's always had a strong desire to participate in activities. Gerina was a golfer in her first game at age 15. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. While in highschool, Gerina won the New Mexico golf state tournament. She also had her volleyball skills acknowledged at the national stage. She attended the University of Texas, Texas in the academic year. As a senior, she won every single tournament that she took part in. While in her university career, she was named Conference USA individual champion player of the year as well as UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
